Departure date will be March 14th 2011.
With this decision, I had to quit a decent job with good pay and soon to drive back to California. Did I make a sacrifice to do Peace Corps? NO. I simply just did what I wanted to do.
Although 2 months is not that far out of reach, having no job for 2 months will definitely be tedious.
So there are the things that I need to do till March 14th
- Drive back to California - I am already dreading for this drive....to drive 3000miles TWICE within couple months is definitately crazy!!!
- Eventually sell my car - My baby since high school. I don't know if I can let my baby go so easily...and with all the battle scars it has...will anyone buy it?!?!
- Meet up with much friends and family as possible before my departure.
- Buy all necessary things that I need to get for Albania.
- Figure out jury duty.
I'm sure there's so much more that I need to do, but I'm probably not remembering them.
In any case, Peace Corps is dawning to be more real as time is closing by March.
I don't know what to expect yet, but hopefully it will be something that I can enjoy and come back home and do something more out of it.
I have been reading many blogs, articles, books, etc. With all that, it seems that it just comes down to me and how I will make my experience come out to be.
